Pabna is situated at the joint of the river Padma and Jamuna. Famous archaeologist Cunninghum thought that the name of the town “Pabna” could come from the name of the ancient town Pundro or Pundro Bordhon . Someone thought that “Pabna” comes from the name of an awful brigand. These are not confirmed information.
